Welcome to our new Liberty Baptist Military Ministry. We are excited about this new ministry beginning here at Liberty Baptist church. We are currently developing plans and ideas for future ministry. Vision Statement The Military Ministry at Liberty Baptist Church simply seeks to develop and maintain relationships with service men and women in the Hampton Roads area by meeting four objectives: 1. Reach – We want to start by reaching out to military members. This encompasses evangelism strategies, community outreach, and helping hands projects in order to meet needs in our military community. 2. Serve – We want to minister to the families who already attend LBC, as well as those to whom we reach out. This includes those who may be deployed and those who are fighting for our country here on the home front. 3. Train – While they are here at Liberty, no matter the amount of time, we want to disciple them. We do this so that when they leave here they are better suited to disciple others, thus fulfilling the Great Commission and sharing the love of Christ with military members all over the world. 4. Send – We know that, unfortunately, those in the military travel a great deal and may not be here as often as we would like. However, when they do leave we want them to be able to carry out their own ministries wherever they may go. This doesn’t carry with it the idea of paid missionary work, but we want them to be who God calls them to be, and better prepare them to train and disciple others.
